How to Promote Affiliate Links Without A Website

Today I will share with you a small and easy affiliate marketing trick that will allow you to promote your affiliate links on any website. So don’t worry about not having a website, because you don’t need one!

An affiliate link is basically a specific URL that contains the affiliate’s ID or username. Advertisers use affiliate links in affiliate programs to record the traffic that is sent to the advertiser’s website. This is part of the affiliate program.

Affiliate marketing is the marketing process by which an affiliate earns a commission for marketing products or services for another person or company. The affiliate simply searches for a certain product, then promotes that product, and earns a part of the profit from each sale. The sales are tracked via affiliate links from one website to another.

Affiliate marketing works by dividing the requirements of the marketing and creation of a product across several parties. It supplements the abilities of several individuals for a more effective marketing strategy while providing contributors with a share of the profit. Three different parties are involved in this process: The seller and product creators, the affiliate or advertiser, and the consumer.

Affiliate marketing is a fast and cost-effective method of making money without the trouble of actually selling a product. It is also very useful for people looking to work online and increase their income. So how does an affiliate get paid after linking the seller to the consumer? The consumer doesn’t necessarily need to buy the product for the affiliate to get a commission. The affiliate’s contribution to the seller’s sales is measured differently according to the affiliate program. The affiliate is paid in several ways: Pay per sale, pay per click, and pay per lead.

How I Promote My Affiliate Links?

If you check out aThemes, you will find that it’s a company that publishes WordPress themes and sells WordPress themes, and so on. 

I am using this website to promote my affiliate link, so I have included a promo link for me on this website that says “Get a Free eBook”. If you click on it, it will open my ClickBank affiliate offer. This way, I am promoting my affiliate link on this website simply by using a technique called “Overlay Pages” or “Overlay Links”.

So the first thing I will do is get my affiliate link, which in my case I will be using Impact.com as an example. It is an affiliate network like ClickBank, CJ Affiliate, or JVZoo. You can use any affiliate link of your choice, you can even promote your own website or anything that you want.

So in my example, I will be promoting an Envato product from ThemeForest which is a WordPress theme or an html template or website template. You can simply go to Google and search as an example for the top 10 WordPress themes. What I did first is get a link to a website where I can promote my offer. The website I used is aThemes, but you can also use CodeMap or whichever website you want.

Once you get your link simply open it and you will now have a full blog post. So I will use this website to promote my links by copying the target website or article’s URL.

How to Get an Overlay Link Tool or Overlay Page Tool? 

We have several options, one of the best is called Sniply or Snip.ly. You can sign up for free and then go to the dashboard to simply create a new snip. After that, I will copy the target website’s URL, paste it there and click on Create a Snip. It will take you to the link creator.

Then it will show you the website and where you can edit the URL. That is where you will put the affiliate link and then click on snip. You will get a link that you can copy. When you open it, you will see that it is my link here on this website. That is how I promoted my affiliate link.

Other Options That You Can Use:

Now if you go back to Sniply to the pricing, you will see that the cheapest price is for $29 per month for 5,000 clicks. This is somehow costly for beginners to start with. So I will show you now two other options that you can also use instead of this service.

Option 1: L-ink.me

If you go to this website and check the pricing, you will notice it is only $8.99 for unlimited clicks which is much cheaper. If you are following me, you will know that this service is mine but it is not a service that I developed myself.

Option 2: CodeCanyon

If you go now to CodeCanyon.net and search for a premium URL shortener, you will find a script that costs $33.

How to promote affiliate links with this technique?

What I do first is log in to my account on L-ink.me. You can go to overlay pages and then create a new overlay. In my case, I will choose that it is a popup for a link or product.

You can also create a poll or a contact form. Name it anything you want, I will choose “Special offer” and then write a custom message. For me, it will be “Get special discounts on themes”.

Then in the overlay label, I will write “Special offer”. Next, you will need to enter the affiliate link after which you can name the button text. When you are done, simply save the overlay. Now you need to go back to the dashboard and paste the main target website link.

Then select the special offer in the custom overlay. You can even change the alias, for example, name it “wp-themes”. Click on shorten, then copy the link and paste it into your browser to open it. In my example, you will see my link “Special Offer”. Thus I promoted my affiliate link.

So in this way you can promote your affiliate links on any website! You don’t need to create a blog or do anything. You can just start promoting your links directly on any website of your choice.
